I am an Australian author, and have recently submitted my first novel, ‘Capriccio’, for publication. I convene a Writers’ Group in Sydney, giving feedback and support for writers working towards publication. Short pieces of mine have appeared in local anthologies, and my story, ‘The Ring’ won first prize in the PAVE writers’ competition. I am a contributor to the e-zine, ‘The Mind Creative’. My essay “Capriccio: the Lost Poems of Ted Hughes” was runner-up in the NT Literary Awards, 2015. I belong to the Australian Society of Authors, the State Library of NSW, Waverley Writers, the NT Writers’ Centre, and the Ted Hughes’ Society.
I am a graduate of the University of Sydney with an MA in English. I have a diploma in Editing and Publishing, and have worked as a freelance editor, writer, and tutor. Previously I taught Academic English at the University of NSW. Currently I am working on my second novel, set in Western Australia in the 1950s.
